After graduating in Law magna cum laude from the University of Milan in 1987, he qualified to practice law in Italy in 1992, admitted to practice law before the Italian Supreme Court since 2004 and is a member of the Milan Bar Association.
He is also a member of AGI (Italian Employment Lawyers Association), AIDP (Italian Association for Personnel Management), EELA (European Employment Lawyers Association) as well as of ABA (American Bar Association), IBA (International Bar Association) and AELC (American Employment Law Council).
He regularly participates, as a speaker or lecturer, in numerous conferences or courses organised by Il Sole 24 Ore, Synergia, AIDP, AGI, EELA, ABA, IBA, and AELC.

Angelo Zambelli received the first prize “Il Lavoro fra le Righe” (Work Between the Lines), literary award in the section “Manuali di Diritto” (Handbooks of Law), awarded by the Provincial Order of Labour Consultants of Milan on 21 June 2019 on the occasion of the Festival of Work, for the five-volume series “Crisi Aziendale e Rapporto di Lavoro” (Company Crisis and Employment Relationship) published by Il Sole 24 Ore in 2018. The publication was judged “interesting because it deals with the issue of corporate crisis with a focus on the employment relationship, analysing the complicated facets that emerge at such junctures. A complete work from several points of view: adherence to the theme indicated, discursive but with punctual normative references, attention to details and a writing that never becomes too technical make the book didactically effective, a source of consultation necessary for daily work” (Il Sole 24 Ore – Awards to authors).
